We interrupt this blog again

Just in case there was any doubt as to the intelligence of yer average American newscaster, I bring you this nugget:

Bill O'Reilly: Here are the letters. Peter Gillies, Victoria, Canada: "Has anyone noticed that life expectancy in Canada under our health system is higher than the USA?" Well, that's to be expected, Peter, because we have ten times as many people as you do. That translates to ten times as many accidents, crimes, down the line.

{Emphasis mine}

Is there any hope for our neighbour down south?

  2. The thing is Nick, this joker has millions of followers who slavishly believe everything uttered from his prehensile brain, being the inciter of hatred, racism and intolerance that he is.
    Simple mathematics seem to have defeated him way back.

  3. I've always known that American newscasters weren't picked for their intelligence and once again, I am proved right. That's why I always disliked watching American news shows so much. I am very happy with our Dutch newscasters, who are capable of independent thought and understand their subjects. That man ought to be pulled off television fast. What an embarrassing situation!

  4. To answer your question the answer is no. Too bad cuz a great people are on the road to the trash pile of history in my opinion.

  5. Fingers crossed that for every sad soul who hangs on Bill O's every word, there are two who see him for what he is, and watch Olbermann instead. (Although I fear that statistics deny this).

  6. Yes, Irene:
    And it really adds to the shame when an American comedian is their most trusted newscaster!

  9. Absolutely, no hope at all. The opposition has now resorted to broadcasting the story that a government health plan means killing off seniors once they reach a certain age. Amazingly, many are sufficiently gullible as to believe it.

  10. it is staggering how so many have been brainwashed into consistently depriving themselves in deference to their Masters. Just toss out socialism and they all go hide in the corners.
